One day training Nature Iraq in Sulaymaniya

Dams and water issues are the main topics in today's workshop. In close cooperation with Nature Iraq IMCK wants to organize four one day trainings. The main goal is to inform journalists, so they can report about environmental issues. 


Trainer Xdir Domle and expert Azzam Alwash

Today's trainer is Xdir Domle, journalist and IMCK senior trainer. The training started of with a interactive presentation by expert Azzam Alwash, founder of Nature Iraq and now president of the board.

The next one day training will be tomorrow in Erbil.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
