Basic journalism workshop in Kalar

IMCK ended on Wednesday September 29, 2010, a basic journalism workshop in Kalar. Sixteen journalists of different media outlets participated in the four day workshop. Trainer was IMCK trainer Ako Muhammed, co-trainer Mohammed Salih. Main subjects were writing for the reader, what is news, making a good news story, interview, and the role of pictures in a story.

Interviews for Media bo Khalk start

More than 75 candidates have applied for the 8 month post graduate training in journalism by IMCK, called Media bo Khalk (Media for People). The interviews with candidates have started in Baghdad, Basra and Erbil. IMCK will select 30 candidates from all over Iraq for the course. Applying is still possible. Media bo Khalk runs in Erbil and will start in October 2010.
