Camera workshop for KTV


Twelve cameramen from Kurdistan TV started a workshop on camera and editing at the traininghall of IMCK in Erbil. The workshop lead by cameraman/editor Farshad Aria from the Netherlands. It started on July 14 and will last for 5 days.

Kurdistan TV is one of the main channels in Kurdistan, based in Erbil. It is funded by KDP, the biggest party in Kurdistan.

Farshad Aria is born in Iran. He finished the Film Academy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and works for different programs and companies in the Netherlands.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
