Succesfull training at Kurdsat


The newsroom staff of Kurdsat tv finished on October 19 their on the job training. Hassan Rachidi, journalist for Al-Jazeera, joined them for five days and advised them about newsproduction, news flow and the most important aspects of tv-journalism.

Judit Neurink, director of IMCK and Hassan Rachidi handed over a certificate to Mr. Barzan, editor in chief of Kurdsat tv. The staff was very pleased with Hassan's attendence and his work.

The first part of IMCK workshop on Knowledge Awareness of Oil and Gas finishes in Kalar Ali Ghazi from Nature Iraq explains how oil and gas impact on the environment and IMCK journalism trainer Khaled Suleiman helps the journalists develop story ideas.   Part 2 of the workshop is in Sulaymaniya in December.  Experts on  oil and gas will give information to help journalists become more specialized on the topic.

KDP women training

Gregor Niessen ,an expert on capacity building for political parties and NGO ’s started on March 15 a 5-day training for 24 women from the Kurdish Democratic Party ( KDP . The other days he will train together with Sabina Gazic , member of the Amsterdam City Council. They will make the women more aware of the political process and encourage them to strive to reach top positions within the KDP . They will talk with them about how to get this more visible role and how to get trough the ceiling.
